Fun, fun, fun till Daddy takes the T-Bird away...
Do you know what is the best thing in the Whole Wide World? (Well, besides Tea-Cup poodles, world peace and eggs benedict...)
Especially road trips with all four of your children! Although I'm kind of actually assuming this last part, as we haven't been on a road trip since the twins arrived... however the ultimate road trip - 6 months around Europe in a campervan - was utterly perfect when the Big Girls were 3 and 5.
We're planning a super-special road trip - to go and spend Christmas with my little brother in Perth. He will have just returned from Foreign Parts and will only be home for a short time before jetting off to Different Foreign Parts. So the lucky lucky boy is going to get the entire extended B family lob up on his doorstep expecting Christmas Dinner.
MrB and I are super-excited at this prospect...
So now I'm wondering... Does anyone out there have any brilliant ideas/ suggestions/ hints about which way to go, what detours to take, things to do, places to see...?
I kinda want to go via The Great Ocean Road and Adelaide, but I'm not sure if that's wise...
I'm all ears, please help!
Road Trips!

I have done the trip from Adelaide to Melbourne though the Grampians and along the Great Ocean road and recommend it.
Other than that? You and Mr. B are very brave. The Nullaboor with 4 littlies? TAKE LOTS OF WATER.
It stands to reason that i would endorse your current planned pathway....
But for goodness' sake it is a very very long drive. Can i recommend the immediate purchase of the largest sippy cups you can find? We had 'Alf' themed ones when my parents drove my sister and I to Brisbane from southern Victoria in the early 1990s.
Also, Lego melts if you leave it in the car on a hot day.
Just sayin'.
definitely recommend the great ocean road, especially beyond lorne....port campbell is a beautiful little place, & one could easily spend a couple of days in port fairy.
i also like robe, & port lincoln....you can do sort of a loop out from port augusta and follow the coast through whyalla, port lincoln etc and come back onto the nullabor at ceduna. adds heaps of k's, but well worth it. (if you like big cliffs and wild oceans like i do)
W - We did it as a family a lifetime ago - got to Port Fairy I think. But it's definitely time for another visit.
Unfortunately lots of water = lots of toilet stops!
GW - I thought you might :)
Luckily MrB got a 160gb ipod for his birthday, so we should be right for music...
LB - That sounds awesome - I'm rather partial to cliffs! Yay! ideas!
PS. WTF is Cat wearing on SYTYCD tonight?
HUH?
OMG! Avoid Perth at all costs. There's an uncouth bastard of a blogger over there who would make your hair curl...
Your place to the Great Ocean Road would more or less involve driving past my place so don't forget to drop in.
Also, Laughing Boy is so bang on the money about Port Campbell, and I'm not just saying that because I proposed to my wife on the cliff tops near Port Campbell at sunset.
