Essential Camelid post

And... the fete is over for another year.

*Big sigh of relief*

I will be interested in finding out just how much money the school made out of it. Hopefully lots and lots... which will all be spent on equipment. Hopefully.

Some points...

* Spinning TeaCups are scarey as, when one is a two year old scaredy-cat.
* As are baby goats who try to nibble your father's ear...

* A 7 year old with an 'ride all day' wristband will get her money's worth... we didn't see her for 3 hours. The ride operators sure did.

* Camel-ride operators make a killing. $8 a ride!

The Big Girls plus camels

* The principal was at it again, with his hogging of the microphone, and slightly sleazy dodgy asides. Especially when commenting on the fashion parade.

All in all, a fun though exhausting day was had by all - in spite of the feral weather and numerous administrative stuff-ups (I'm sure the central 'ticket tent' was a good idea in theory... unfortunately anyone wanting a sausage sandwich, a face paint, a camel ride or a raffle ticket had to queue up at the same tent to purchase tickets)

And don't get me started on Miranda bloody Deveine.

Argh! The woman makes me so cranky... I'm wondering just how much power is drawn down from the grid when all the liberal lefties read her coloumn on a sunday morning, and rush off to type their furiously indignant posts for their blogs... I know I was tempted.

Did every bloody primary school in sydney have a fete on Saturday? It seemed like it in the Inner West. Am glad it wasn't too feral, MissB.
