Devine Goddess - That's Me!

Teeheehee. Not exactly.

It was my birthday last week, and after enduring my monthly deforestation (that's defoliation Donnie and Shroom, not defloration) I decided 'Bugger it!' and splurged on a new lippie. Bearing in mind that I'm still using a Red Earth lipstick that was discontinued in 1998, you'd get that this is a Big Deal.

Anyway, Amanda, my lovely beautician, helped me to choose a new shade, 'so perfect for summer... this season's colours are so you etc etc'

I found the perfect one - so so happy. Then she told me it's name. I giggled. She looked at me askance... I giggled a little more.

It's called Zoe.

And it's quite classy and lady-like. Who'd a thunk?

Nic, I know you don't get out much...but let me give you a peek through the window of the male psyche.
You basically just said you shaved your snatch and then decided to buy some lipstick.
AND it's called Zoe.
Now...try and guess what Mountjoy, Mushroom and I are thinking...

Oh.

Right.

That's unfortunate.

Luckily, you'e managed to get that out in the open right from the start, so I can just say 'ewwwwww' No. And let you get on with it.

And of course, I click on comments, only to see that fingers has nailed it already.....

So the only dirt track left for me is the concept of a monthly defloration. I'm sure that could be a big money spinner for hookers in the Middle East...

i once saw a lipstick shade called "brazen hussy". would anyone actually want to wear it?

The thing is that all of the Napoleon Perdis Lippies are named after goddesses. I didn't realise Zoe was a goddess. Goddess of what I wonder...?
The thought of the 'Hera' lipstick just makes me think 'harriden' for some reason.

Cursory googling tells me that Zoe is the goddess of marriage and childbirth. Which is pretty damn funny.

wikipedia didnt tell me that at all!

and i should know anyway because my name is Mex.
