Monday Musings
mmmm.
I have that lovely feeling in my tummy that only comes from experiencing the cooking of happiness!
Chilli Basil Chicken this time - so very very good.
Basil is my most favouritest of herbs. I blame the Italian blood - the smell of basil brings a subliminal joy to me - my mood is instantly lifted. You know how when you're little and have had a bad dream, your mummy would tell you to think happy thoughts, imagine happy places in order to get back to sleep - well one of my happy memories is driving along the road between Pompeii and Rome and seeing (and smelling) fields and fields of basil.
Pure Bliss.
And ba-baow - Jannali cafe #4 has been scrubbed - for committing the cardinal sin of *gasp* running the extra water for a long black through the used grounds. And my Flat White wasn't too good either. We shall have to see how Jannali Cafe #5 fares when it opens - I don't have high hopes at all...

Basil was my favourite Fawlty.
Sybil was just a cow.
I love Basil, but only with fresh tomato. Tomato marinated in olive oil, garlic, fresh basil and oregano, S & P, mmmmmm. Even cheap, crappy tomatoes taste good with this sort of treatment.
Donnie, Basil made me cringe. I liked Polly. And Manuel...
TMATP, only with tomato? Not in bol? Not on bruscetta? Not with bacon and cream? (mmmm creamy bacon & basil pasta) You're limiting yourself there young man - think of all the basilly goodness you're missing out on!
dude....
I'm back.
I was in Wagga, more about that at my place later tonight.
Dude - what the hell is with running extra water through used grounds, which is frankly disgusting on so many levels I can't comprehend it (you can tell I haven't had my second coffee yet, can't you?)
Yay! Gw's Back! After being exiled in Wagga... poor you!
Polly wasn't a Fawlty, though, AB. She just fucked John Cleese in real life.
Manuel was from Barcelona.
And it wasn't a rat, it was a hamster.
A siberian hamster. Who was also a Basil...
