Wednesday

Oh No!!!

Call the Fire Brigade, or the Police or something...

Someone's stolen the Escarpment!

It's a grey day today. But thankfully not as hot. I'm such a pathetic greenie-leftie. We recently had air-conditioning installed, yet I refuse to turn it on... or begrudge every minute that it is on, because of all that electrickery it's using. And I was particularly unimpressed to walk into the house yesterday afternoon to discover the a/c on full-blast... with the back door wide open. And the sweetest irony being that I was holding the latest Intergral Energy Bill in my hot little hand.

People were shouted at.

Inigo has been out sunbaking. It's quite funny - his fur goes brown. I really should sit him down and force him to watch those feral melanoma ads on the TV.

Unfortunately the house faces exactly North/South... which means that the Wset side of the house gets full sun all afternoon and bakes. Thw twins room is on that side and sometimes the heat is just unbearable in there. Blockout blinds are drawn all afternoon on that side, but it doesn't make enough difference. And the house, because it was designed as a church, not as a dwelling, has inadequate flow-throughs to take advantage of the regular southerlies...

Air con is evil and while it makes things cooler it doesn't actually feel very nice.

But I see why you got it.

You guys should fill up the baptismal pool over summer, methinks.

Your house was a church????

So is the master bedroom where the alter should be, so MrB can "sacrifice virgins" there?

Or is there a side-room where all the choirboys would hang out, that he can go and do that....

It was a Brethren Chapel, so basically a box. No ostentation at all. And no altar.
