A few years back, Heir Mountjoy got hives - the most amazing thing as circular rashes the size of a 50c piece came and went in 45 minute cycles... totally revolting.

You forget how scabbie and pocky childhood is until you have kids...

ya gotta pick. it gets toooooo itchy just when the scab has gotten all hard and crusty. so you tear it off, make it bleed, and start all over again. Oh, my mis-spent youth...

so is the casa redolant with the odour of pinetarsal? I got chickenpox at the embarrassing age of 21 so at least she is getting it out of the way earlier.

OMel - she may have been smiling there, but she had another restless night last night and it's starting to get me down.

Mex - Argh! You try telling a 2 year old not to pick! It's not easy...

Donnie - The scabs are at that hard yellow pustulance stage. Pleasant.

KR - Indeed! You are assaulted with the fragrant scent of pinetarsal when you enter the house. Even more pleasance.

And to think - I still have another 2 children yet to be afflicted...

put mittens on their hands and sew them to the skin.

tell them their faces will be covered with large unsightly SCARS for the REST OF THEIR LIVES.

and right to the end of their days people will KNOW they have had the pox.

You just have to let then scratch not on the face or visible regions.

I have some good pox scars but only those who get to see me undressed know where.

She's obsessed with the massive spot on her ear. And the one under her nose. I'm just hoping as her head grows the scars get smaller...

I had the pox when I was 8 or 9 and my forehead scar has pretty much blended in to the rest of my head... the one on my chest though has just stretched out. Strange pox scars, how I love thee.
