I'm having an interesting time at the moment. My head is feeling decidedly detached from my body. I'm assuming it's the new medication. And not the fact that there has been rather a focus on decapitation on the teevee recently. Even last night Baldrick was at it again.
Anyhoo, weird weekend, mainly because of the airy fairy dislocation I'm experiencing.
* Swans won! (Yay!!!)
* Eagles won! (Boo!!!)
* Don't ask me who won in the NRL prelims as I have no idea.
* U-10s Northern Tigers won the Grand Final!
Hmmm, bit of a footy focus happening here I think. Can't wait for the weekend, as there'll be a rowdy get-together of my family, for the Grand Final.

The wildy weird weather we had yesterday may have exacerbated my wildy weird mood. I have no idea why such a strong hot wind freaks me out so much. I do know, however, why the faintest hint of smoke on the wind worries me so much. And why the dull pinkish tinge over the Escarpment is so ominous. Luckily (for us in the Illawarra) the bushfires were west of us, at Picton. A few houses destroyed, but no loss of life. Every time I smell bushfire I start to worry about the Illawarra Escarpment, as it's so damn hard to do hazard reduction, and it hasn't burnt for decades. Which means there's a greater chance that it will go up some time soon. Last time the Escarpment burned, it went from Coledale to Jamberoo and no-one could get anywhere near it to fight it. And there's a hell of a lot more houses built up into the hills now. It's a worry, and I obsess about it, scanning the view from my deck, looking for that telltale puff of smoke.

Miss I has the Pox.
Can I just say: Bugger!

Hey, some people pay good money to feel detached.....hope it sorts itself out soon!
That wind was weird, some primeval instinct in me said 'run for the lake, its burnin season'.
