Demolition Man...

Friday night was muchly fun. Even if I did get a wee bit confused with my maths... "shush! I'm counting..." People's are fun! And ribs are so very very good. And it is an International Rule that on cannot eat ribs without leaving evidence of said consumption all over jackets/ shirts. It had to be done.

The weekend was very productive... the 6 cubic metre skip that was delivered on Friday, was filled to the top by sat. arvo. Despite the many naysayers and their "why did you get such a big skip? You'll never fill that... mutter mutter mutter" Ha! Told you so Dad! (Ignore childish exclamation at being right. Again.) Pulling down the old side fence and timber decking was so much fun! Jimmie-wielding has a lot going for it.

We discovered a number of examples of the local wildlife in amongst the tip that was our back garden. A frog. A cranky cranky blue tongue lizard (who attacked a pink serviette with utmost viciousness once he'd been moved). A baby white rabbit. Admittedly the rabbit only ended up in the yard after Inigo had brought it home to be butchered in the downstairs bathroom (aka the Slaughterhouse) It got a reprieve, and is now living it up in a cozy Inigo-proofed hutch. The previous occupants of hutch didn't last very long it's un-Inigo-proofed condition... The rabbit (photos to be posted tomorrow) is now called Pixie. Not Snowball. Or Snowy. Or Legolas (highly amusing reference to Inigo's rabbit snack of last week - a leg and kidney were all that was left on the bathroom floor)

Pets seem to think the most inappropriate places are there to serve as their killing grounds. When a neighbour’s chicken jumped my parents fence one of their little Jack Russell’s thought to grab the chook by the neck (pound for pound you’d be hard pressed to judge which was the bigger animal) and drag it under my Mum and Dad’s bed! Luckily Mum saw all of this unfold and was able to rescue the bird before any damage was done.
