From Left Field
Apparently.
I was having an interesting discussion with a friend on the weekend. We started off by commenting on the inherent unsexiness of Tom Cruise. I admitted that I have NEVER been a member of the Cruise fanclub - even when he was married to Our Nic. When others were swooning at his feet, I was dreaming of another - in fact the archetypal BBHOG - Christian Slater! He's well sleazy now, but then, aahh... *wanders off into dreamland* Definitely 'Pump up the Volume' and 'Heathers' era.
(BTW Donnie - funky haiku link!)
Anyhow, I digress...
Next topic was who does it for me now (definition: it being the little flutter in the tummy) that I'm an old married woman (what with Mr Slater and his previously-mentioned sleaziness) The answer is Mr John Malkovich - no surprise there. But my second choice - a Mr Alan Rickman kinda spun my friend out a little - hence the 'out of left field' comment!
So, I throw it open to the floor: Am I wrong here, or is he just yumptious (even in Snape-mode)?

Christian Slater in pump up the volume ...
*melt*
Such a rebel. Such a heart of gold.
I still completely adore that movie, even though I'm no longer an angsty teenager ...
Um - these days?
I so don't know. The only famous dude who's done it for me lately is Dr House ...
I agree he's lovely, but can't get beyond his blackadder days...
I didn't watch a lot of blackadder so I don't have that problem. To me he's just the sarcastic, misunderstood, heartbroken doctor ...
Sigh.
Another former BBHOG that got me was Spike from Press Gang aka Dexter Fletcher.
But I do so love characters more than actors ...
Are you watching him on Hotel Babylon?
I saw one ep of that, thought 'oohh, shiny & polished...' and promptly forgot to commit.
No - it's on too late for me to commit to. I'd be taping it to watch on Saturday mornings, and I get behind and forget, like with the OC.
And I find his English accent off-putting. I KNOW he's English. And I KNOW the American one was crappy. But it was part of who Spike was as a person ...
i never liked Mr Slater. is that wrong?
but do think that alan rickman is dreamy.
I think Mr Slater is definitely an acquired taste... I was always the only one in the Slater camp when all my friends were not.
The Rickman thing... 1 vote for me not being a complete loon...
Same - I was in the Slater camp wondering what on earth everyone else saw in Keanu Reeves ...
B&T's Excellent Adventure: I was madly in love with the non-Keanu one. He was in Lost Boys too... With Keifer when he was hot. Alex Winter, that's him (gotta love Google)
Oooh, just found out he's married to an accountant. How cute is that...
I think the Tahs really blew it on the weekend.
Why did they coose the tap and run option on that late penalty, over the line-out/pushover play, when it had already worked twice previously.
It was all that fucker Roger's fault...the dumb, redneck leaugie...
Don't do rugby.
But if you want to digress from the intense girliness of this post, I'm quite happy to discuss the Swans awesome game against the Lions
Then I suggest you find someone who follows that childishly simple game and discuss it with them...
I can do the League ...? And not very well - I only watched 5 minutes of the Anzac test and read the result of the Tigers game (hurrah!) and the Knights game (yay!).
Alex Winter was ok, especially compared to Ka-noo. Who I have always, always hated ...
I have never watched an entire game of League.
I think that says it all really.
The tigers game was great except for them running outta full strength beer in the mid second half, oh that and those north shore wankers.
And the game, Shroom...?
I heard the Sea-Eagles were robbed. But I think they're just being sooky-la-la sore losers ...
Sea Eagles robbed? Well maybe a few fans were, its a bit of a rough area ;-)
Leichhardt Oval rocks, except for those westie's from Campbelltown attending....
Hey - they have as much right to be there as you do ...
Anyway, shouldn't you be cheering for the Broncoes?
Thats what campbelltown is for, the westies to watch tigers play at.
Campbelltown is really far away from some westies ...
